Senior Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Spearhead enterprise Data & Analytics architecture initiatives by designing scalable, secure, and forward-thinking solutions utilizing AWS and Databricks that align with business goals.

• Evaluate current legacy data ecosystems and establish target-state architecture, modernization roadmaps, migration strategies, and technology blueprints for enterprise transformation projects.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders (CXO, VP, Director level) by conducting architecture workshops, technical discovery sessions, and strategic consulting initiatives.

• Lead comprehensive solution architecture across cloud data platforms, including data lakes, lakehouses, enterprise data warehouses, streaming platforms, metadata management, governance, and analytics ecosystems.

• Establish enterprise architecture standards, reusable design patterns, best practices, and governance frameworks while ensuring alignment with organizational technology strategies.

• Facilitate technical solution discussions with clients, implementation partners, and cross-functional delivery teams to guarantee architectural consistency and successful program delivery.

• Design scalable architectures for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics that accommodate structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.

• Work collaboratively with business, product, engineering, and data science teams to convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Propose platform accelerators, reusable frameworks, automation opportunities, and optimization strategies to enhance delivery efficiency and shorten implementation timelines.

• Provide architectural oversight throughout project implementation, reviewing technical designs, addressing complex technical challenges, and mentoring global engineering teams.

• Lead architecture governance by conducting solution reviews, ensuring adherence to enterprise security, scalability, performance, and data governance standards.

• Advance cloud modernization efforts involving migration from legacy data platforms to AWS-based cloud-native architectures.

• Assess emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions within Data Engineering, AI/ML, GenAI, and cloud ecosystems.

• Assist in proposal development, solution estimations, RFP responses, technical presentations, and executive-level client discussions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 18+ years of IT experience, with a minimum of 10 years focused on Enterprise Data & Analytics Architecture.

• Strong proficiency in AWS Cloud services, including S3, Glue, EMR, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, IAM, Lake Formation, Step Functions, CloudWatch, EventBridge, ECS/EKS, and related services.

• Extensive practical experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Spark, PySpark, and Lakehouse architecture.

• In-depth understanding of enterprise Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Lakehouse architectures.

• Expertise in modern data engineering principles, ETL/ELT frameworks, metadata management, data governance, and master data management.

• Strong knowledge of SQL, distributed data processing, cloud-native architecture patterns, and scalable data platform design.

• Experience in designing enterprise integration architectures using APIs, streaming technologies, messaging systems, and event-driven architectures.

• Profound understanding of cloud migration strategies, modernization techniques, and hybrid architecture patterns.

• Strong stakeholder management skills with proven experience engaging directly with executive leadership.
