This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, propose, and provision cloud-native data solutions utilizing AWS/Azure. Utilize a comprehensive knowledge of Snowflake, IAM, S3, EC2, Kinesis, Sagemaker, Airflow, Kafka, Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Fivetran, DBT, and/or other services and tools to design and enhance these solutions.

• Lead a technical team responsible for operating and managing modern data platforms, ranging from streaming and data lakes to analytics and more, across a continuously evolving technical landscape.

• Assume clear ownership of multiple customer accounts simultaneously across various technical stacks as the technical leader.

• Skillfully navigate intricate customer environments and create Epics, Stories, and Tasks to advance and enhance our customer’s data platform. Delegate responsibilities to and mentor Engineers to ensure successful and timely delivery of these Epics.

• Offer thought leadership by advising on the appropriate technologies and methods to mature and resolve issues, ensuring optimal performance, security, scalability, and user satisfaction.

• Facilitate discussions and contribute to design recommendations concerning data model design for Data Warehouses and Data Lakes.

• Continuously seek opportunities to automate, enhance, and expand our customer’s data platform and service offerings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in production support for enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or Databricks.

• Extensive background in providing architectural guidance and operational support to a large user base for a cloud-native data warehouse (Snowflake and/or Redshift), supported by experience in Systems Engineering, DevOps, DBA, or Data Architecture.

• Hands-on experience with Cloud and Distributed Data Storage technologies including S3, ADLS, HDFS, ElasticSearch/Solr, Cassandra, or other NoSQL storage systems.

• Practical experience with Data integration technologies such as Spark, Kafka, event/streaming, Fivetran, HVR, NiFi, AWS Data Migration Services, Azure Data Factory, or similar.

• Experience with Workflow Management and Orchestration tools such as Airflow, AWS Managed Airflow, Luigi, or NiFi.

• Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to write, debug, and optimize SQL queries.

• In-depth knowledge of cloud-native data technologies in AWS or Azure.

• Proven track record of creating, challenging, and enhancing processes and procedures.

• Exceptional troubleshooting and performance tuning capabilities.

• Provide leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.

• A passion for learning new technology stacks and experience as a technical team member focused on upskilling and training.

• Ability to create and deliver detailed technical presentations for executive audiences.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in client-facing scenarios.
