Solutions Architect

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Account Executives to manage the complete sales process for Enterprise merchants, acting as the primary technical authority from initial discovery through to contract execution.

• Conduct high-level technical presentations and solution design sessions, establishing credibility with merchant CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and Heads of Product.

• Oversee the technical validation process, including intricate RFPs and critical Proof of Concept (POC) engagements, ensuring a smooth transition from 'technical win' to implementation.

• Design and architect API integrations customized to fit each merchant’s industry, business practices, and solution requirements.

• Convert merchant requirements across diverse industries, payment models, and fulfillment operations into comprehensive integration schema, data flow designs, and data prerequisites.

• Lead technical discovery sessions with merchant engineering and product teams to establish integration scope, data prerequisites, success criteria, and key milestones.

• Guarantee that integration designs are scalable, maintainable, and consistent with Signifyd's platform capabilities and API standards.

• Assess the fraud risk profile of innovative merchant business models and suggest integration and data strategies likely to yield strong model performance and financial guarantee eligibility.

• Advise on data health by establishing high-quality training signals for new merchant categories (Marketplace, Subscriptions, BOPIS) to ensure optimal model performance.

• Examine fraud risk profiles for new business models, offering integration strategies that enhance model accuracy and financial guarantee eligibility.

• Collaborate with Data Science to validate model performance against merchant-specific datasets, ensuring Signifyd’s decision-making aligns with the client's risk appetite.

• Act as the technical representative of the merchant to Signifyd's Product and Data Science teams, highlighting capability gaps, feature opportunities, and data requirements from the field.

• Provide valuable input to the product roadmap with structured, evidence-based recommendations derived from direct merchant feedback and competitive market dynamics.

• Work alongside Implementation Managers during intricate onboardings to ensure alignment between the designed architecture and the final build.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a Solutions Architect, Principal Solutions Engineer, or similar senior technical customer-facing role (pre-sales or strategic post-sales).

• Practical experience in designing and architecting API integrations — able to speak authoritatively on LLM/AI, REST, webhooks, data schemas, event-driven architectures, and standard integration patterns in ecommerce settings.

• Significant exposure to bot mitigation/management, identity threat protection, digital identity, fraud detection, risk decisioning, and payments processing including agentic commerce, chargebacks, or related fintech areas.

• Familiarity with machine learning concepts; understanding how models are trained, evaluated, and enhanced, along with an intuition for relevant data and its importance for fraud decisioning.

• Proven success in working directly with enterprise merchants, retailers, or B2C brands at substantial scale (over $500M in annual revenue or equivalent complexity).

• Demonstrated capability to establish technical credibility and trusted relationships with engineering leaders and C-suite stakeholders at major retail and consumer brands.

• Experience in co-selling within complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals alongside a quota-carrying Account Executive.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity, shifting priorities, and the dynamics of a growth-stage company where business prospects can vary greatly.
