This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Facilitate strategic solution roadmap discussions with clients, aligning their business goals with Atlassian capabilities and potential AI enhancements.
• Align customers' key corporate initiatives and strategic objectives with measurable KPIs, showcasing how the Atlassian platform and its System of Work can foster positive business outcomes.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to customer stakeholders, including technical and leadership teams, enhancing their strategic capabilities through ongoing mentorship.
• Establish and convey a compelling vision for a productive and efficient future for each client, taking into account their unique challenges and readiness for change.
• Proactively discover and nurture additional product and service opportunities within customer organizations that correspond with their strategic needs.
• Engage in strategic sales, proposal presentations, and continuous team account planning and growth initiatives.
• Collaboratively develop customer roadmaps that align with corporate goals and innovative solutions to meet business requirements.
• Define system architecture and oversee implementation and solution deployment for large-scale enterprise projects.
• Guide clients through complex architectural decisions and implementation strategies, emphasizing long-term value and successful user adoption.
• Advise clients on the change management processes essential for the successful adoption of new technologies and redesigned processes.
• Work alongside product and engineering teams to quickly prototype app innovations and custom solutions for clients.
• Lead the creation of high-value, reusable strategic assets (such as architectural frameworks and best practice guides) that enhance the team’s effectiveness in your area of expertise.
• Cultivate a strong, positive personal brand by actively engaging in relevant partner channels such as the Atlassian Community, conferences, or blogging.
• Over 5 years of experience as an Atlassian technical consultant or in solutions architecture or pre-sales roles.
• Proven experience guiding clients through substantial technology and process transformations, including change management strategies.
• Background in mentoring other consultants or architects.
• Proven experience delivering Atlassian solutions that encompass audit trail requirements, role-based access controls, and change governance workflows compliant with regulated industry standards.
• Extensive, demonstrable expertise in one of the following areas: Enterprise Strategy & Planning (Jira Align, Focus, Advanced Roadmaps), Enterprise Service Management (Jira Service Management, ITIL), World-Class Software Development (Jira Software, Bitbucket, CI/CD, DevOps, Scaled Agile, Cloud Migration (Atlassian Cloud, JCMA, CCMA, Teamwork Foundation).
• Relevant industry certifications in fields such as Enterprise Architecture, Service Management (e.g., ITIL Expert), Agile (e.g., SAFe), DevOps, or Change Management (e.g., Prosci).
• Multiple Atlassian Certifications (e.g., ACP, Atlassian Certified Master) are highly preferred.
• Strong relationship-building skills — trusted by senior stakeholders across compliance, risk, IT, and operations; capable of engaging credibly in both technical and regulatory discussions.
• Strategic thinking skills — commercial insight to envision, design, and articulate multi-year service management architectures linked to regulatory and operational outcomes.
• Proficient in communication & storytelling — able to translate complex architectural decisions into accessible language for compliance-focused teams; skilled at building a persuasive case for change in risk-averse environments.
• Architectural expertise — in-depth knowledge of Atlassian integrations, cloud architecture (AWS, Azure), SSO/identity management, APIs, and web technologies.
• Governance & compliance awareness — designs with audit, access control, and regulatory reporting as foundational elements, not as an afterthought.
• ITSM maturity understanding — comprehends the complete ITIL service management lifecycle and can guide organizations at various levels of process maturity toward structured, scalable practices.
• Co-delivery collaboration experience — adept at working in close co-delivery models where customer teams, risk functions, and IT governance are all active stakeholders in the solutions being developed.
