Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist customers in creating products with durable execution.

• Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and technical leaders from the initial assessment to production.

• Assess how durable execution integrates into customer architectures.

• Design production systems utilizing Restate.

• Develop proof-of-concepts, prototypes, integrations, and reference implementations.

• Address challenges related to distributed systems and infrastructure.

• Deploy and manage Restate in a production environment.

• Diagnose complex issues within distributed systems and infrastructure.

• Provide technical insights to engineering and product teams.

• Transform recurring customer challenges into tools, documentation, best practices, and reusable patterns.

• Contribute to technical demonstrations, presentations, and developer content.

• Shape the product roadmap and enhance the developer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid background in software engineering or solutions architecture.

• Experience with distributed, backend, or event-driven systems.

• Comprehensive understanding of system architecture and reliability.

• Proficiency in a backend programming language such as Go, Java, Python, TypeScript, Rust, or C++.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and/or Kubernetes.

• Capability to delve into code and resolve technical problems.

• Must be based in the United States.

• Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship, both now and in the future.

• Preference for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area.

• Experience with distributed databases, messaging systems, workflow engines, or infrastructure software is preferred.

• Preferred experience in Kubernetes, networking, observability, or cloud architecture.

• Experience with AI infrastructure or production AI applications is desirable.

• Preferred experience in Rust or other systems programming languages.

• Experience in open-source contributions or technical evangelism is a plus.
