This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Take ownership of the solution and platform architecture for intricate DataHub and mapper projects, establishing RFCs, reference designs, and scalable solutions.
• Serve as the main technical liaison between ESS and the Brazil team, aligning both enterprise and regional priorities while addressing architectural trade-offs.
• Conduct architecture reviews and offer technical guidance to various teams, ensuring high-quality and uniform design choices.
• Propel platform development, enforce secure deployment practices, and optimize for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Maintain a hands-on approach with AI-native engineering (agents, LLMs, MCP, and agentic workflows), applying these methodologies in practical solutions.
• Collaborate with global teams (KL DataHub, ESS, and other regions) to ensure alignment and mitigate architectural drift.
• Mentor engineers at all levels, enhancing their understanding of architecture, design thinking, and production excellence.
• Collaborate on reliability and operations, including observability, incident reviews, and implementing long-term fixes for critical systems.
• Foster inner-source practices and integration strategies to enhance reuse and consistency across global DataHub projects.
• Extensive experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or platform engineering.
• Proficient in system design, distributed systems, and large-scale backend architectures.
• Strong background in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and API design (OpenAPI).
• In-depth knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, containers, and contemporary cloud-native architectures.
• Significant experience in CI/CD, deployment pipelines (Jenkins), and release strategies including rollback and environment promotion.
• Expertise in security architecture and code quality tools (e.g., SonarQube, Veracode, or Checkmarx).
• Proven capability to enhance performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Experience in leading architecture discussions, drafting RFCs, and influencing technical decisions across teams.
• Strong collaboration abilities in global environments, engaging with various regions and stakeholders.
• Advanced English proficiency (mandatory) and Portuguese for local collaboration.
• Nice to have: Experience with machine learning (serving, pipelines, or MLOps).
