Solutions Architect – 5G NTN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Serve as a subject matter expert in 5G, NTN, and satellite-terrestrial integrated network solutions.

• Lead intricate technical presales initiatives, assisting strategic customers, operators, and partners in global markets.

• Take ownership of RFP/RFI/RFQ technical responses, which include:

• - Comprehensive architecture design

• - Technical compliance and assumptions

• - Differentiation of solutions and risk assessment

• Design and showcase end-to-end 5G NTN system architectures, encompassing satellite payloads, gateways, ground segments, and integration.

• Facilitate customer workshops, in-depth solution explorations, and high-level presentations.

• Define and oversee technical demonstrations, trials, and pathfinder programs, detailing scope, system interfaces, and criteria for success.

• Collaborate with satellite operators, chipset manufacturers, cloud service providers, and ecosystem partners on technical feasibility and interoperability.

• Conduct system-level engineering analysis, which includes:

• - Evaluating architecture trade-offs

• - Considering latency and performance factors

• - Understanding high-level link budgets

• - Assessing terrestrial-satellite integration impacts.

• Assist with solution sizing, BOM development, and ROM pricing inputs, working closely with Sales and PLM teams.

• Offer technical insights into long-term product and technology strategies, shaping roadmap direction based on customer and market needs.

• Maintain a strong awareness of 3GPP standards (including NTN), industry trends, and the competitive landscape.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in systems engineering, telecommunications, computer science, or a closely related field;

• Over 7 years of industry experience in systems engineering, system architecture design, and Satcom.

• Extensive experience with 5G networks, including RAN, cloud-native architectures, and service-based interfaces.

• Practical understanding of 5G NTN concepts, such as LEO/MEO/GEO systems, gateways, regenerative/bent-pipe payloads, and hybrid architectures.

• Demonstrated experience in supporting RFP/RFI responses, customer demonstrations, and solution engineering.

• Capability to engage in technical, commercial, and strategic discussions.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with confidence in engaging both technical teams and executive stakeholders.

• Strong skills in cross-functional collaboration.
