Solution Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Establish NC as a long-term strategic collaborator and trusted engineering advisor among engineering teams, managers, and VPs.

• Facilitate structured discovery sessions to pinpoint areas where NC delivers the most value, framing use cases that are both technically viable and commercially sound.

• Develop the AI strategy and technical roadmap for each account, transforming NC's capabilities and product direction into a multi-horizon vision.

• Design and present compelling, client-specific demos and presentations that are rooted in the client's engineering workflows, ensuring technical credibility and alignment with the vision.

• Create and co-manage the Statement of Work, possessing a deep understanding of the technical components and how they enhance the client's existing workflows.

• Organize and lead Steering Committees, linking engineering challenges to strategic outcomes.

• Promote user adoption and engagement among technical users, managers, and designers, ensuring NC is integrated into daily workflows and that engineering champions emerge.

• Recognize upselling and expansion opportunities through account insights and commercial indicators, shaping them into well-defined proposals.

• Collaborate with the Sales team to progress and finalize deals, work with the Forward Deployed Engineering team to ensure seamless transitions from pre-sales to delivery, and relay client insights to Product and R&D to guide roadmap priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess an engineering degree (mechanical, aerospace, automotive, industrial, or related) and have a strong grasp of CAD and CAE workflows, including identifying bottlenecks and understanding what it takes to enhance those workflows with AI.

• You are inherently curious and people-oriented, earning trust through a genuine interest in client challenges and ensuring that engineers and executives feel acknowledged.

• You are proactive and commercially focused, advancing accounts without prompting, recognizing opportunities early, and providing structure in ambiguous scenarios.

• You are a confident challenger, willing to ask difficult questions, reframe assumptions, and guide clients towards improved outcomes, even when it necessitates pushback.

• You are an exceptional communicator, taking charge of executive discussions, driving narratives with clarity, and connecting engineering issues to strategic results.

• You have a conceptual understanding of AI and machine learning as they pertain to engineering and are comfortable creating demos and prototypes using AI-assisted tools, with a working knowledge of Python and contemporary development practices.

• You bring experience in a client-facing role, such as pre-sales, solutions consulting, technical account management, or engineering consulting.

• You are professionally fluent in Korean.
