This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the architectural guidance and hands-on development for the implementation of research and development projects that deliver strategic advantages to GDIT’s defense clientele.
• Collaborate with other technology domain leaders within the organization to incorporate advanced solutions such as AI/ML, software development, cloud technologies, and AIOps.
• Spearhead GDIT's growth initiatives in digital engineering by crafting accurate solution architectures and models to identify business opportunities.
• Ensure the technical precision of delivery deployments in digital engineering throughout the Defense division for on-contract projects.
• Oversee a team of architects, engineers, and developers, providing mentorship and guidance for their daily tasks.
• Assess emerging digital engineering tools and platforms, and lead adoption strategies across the Defense division to remain current with the latest technological advancements.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in developing engineering solutions for large organizations or defense agencies.
• Expert-level knowledge in Model Based Systems Engineering, including various OMG frameworks such as UML, SysML, UAF, DoDAF, and BPMN.
• Proficient in articulating comprehensive and cohesive architecture in models, encompassing all elements from concept through functional, logical, and physical models.
• Proven experience in contemporary software engineering practices and cloud computing utilization.
• Demonstrated success in scaling teams and organizations for engineering-related use cases.
• Experience in delivering highly technical presentations to diverse audiences, including executive-level stakeholders.
• Security clearance level: Secret required at the outset, with the capability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (e.g., aerospace, electrical, mechanical, software).
