• Perform comprehensive assessments of Android applications and SDKs to comprehend the codebase and pinpoint potential risks.
• Utilize sophisticated reverse engineering methods including decompilation, disassembly, and debugging.
• Detect user and device vulnerabilities, data leaks, and the execution of malicious code.
• Collect and evaluate threat intelligence pertaining to Android malware and security trends.
• Work collaboratively with security researchers, developers, and stakeholders to disseminate findings and recommendations.
• 3 - 5+ years of experience in Android Development, Reverse Engineering, Penetration Testing, or Application Security Assessments.
• Practical experience in analyzing, unpacking, and reverse engineering the code of malicious applications or SDKs.
• Expertise in both static and dynamic analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with reverse engineering tools such as Jadx, Ghidra, Frida, IDA Pro, and Burp.
• Proficient in programming languages including Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, Flutter, and other mobile software languages.
• Strong understanding of Android fundamentals such as activity lifecycles, common API usage, and AOSP.
• Awareness of methodologies used by malicious applications.
• Knowledgeable in network traffic analysis and security basics.
• Research abilities regarding threats like APT utilizing Open-Source Intelligence.
