Solution Architect – Enterprise Data Platform, Cloud Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Facilitate architecture discovery workshops and engage with stakeholders to comprehend business objectives, technical specifications, and long-term platform aspirations.

• Establish and uphold the target-state architecture for enterprise data and analytics solutions.

• Create both high-level and detailed solution designs that prioritize scalability, performance, security, maintainability, and business value.

• Provide technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle, from ideation to implementation.

• Design and oversee enterprise data platform ecosystems that cater to analytics, reporting, operational data requirements, and future business expansion.

• Define architectural patterns for data ingestion, transformation, storage, integration, and consumption.

• Set standards and best practices for data pipelines, platform services, and engineering frameworks.

• Ensure solutions guarantee high levels of reliability, extensibility, and operational efficiency.

• Develop architectural standards, reference models, design principles, and governance frameworks.

• Offer guidance on technology selection, platform capabilities, tooling strategies, and implementation methodologies.

• Promote consistency across projects by advocating for reusable patterns, automation, and best practices.

• Evaluate solution designs and implementation strategies to ensure conformity with enterprise architecture standards.

• Formulate strategies for platform observability, monitoring, operational readiness, and supportability.

• Guide the rollout of data quality, reliability, and governance frameworks throughout the platform.

• Establish operational processes, runbooks, support models, and performance monitoring criteria.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, data, product, and business teams to ensure technology solutions align with strategic goals.

• Lead architecture discussions and provide technical recommendations to stakeholders across various organizational levels.

• Mentor technical teams and foster knowledge sharing among architecture and engineering functions.

• Shape technical direction and ensure alignment across multiple workstreams and initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Solution Architecture, Data Architecture, Cloud Architecture, or similar technology leadership positions.

• Proven experience in designing and deploying enterprise-scale data and analytics platforms.

• In-depth knowledge of data architecture, data engineering frameworks, and contemporary cloud-based data ecosystems.

• Experience in defining architectural patterns for data ingestion, processing, integration, storage, and analytics.

• Strong understanding of platform governance, architectural standards, and technology strategy.

• Experience in guiding technical teams through the solution design and implementation processes.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the capability to influence both technical and business decision-makers.

• Ability to convert complex technical concepts into understandable business outcomes.
