Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Define and establish contemporary data warehouse architecture and frameworks that encompass data modeling, ETL pipelines, orchestration, storage, and access patterns.

• Create scalable data solutions utilizing Databricks, AWS, and other cutting-edge tools for extensive, high-frequency data workloads.

• Design and construct APIs and data integration layers to facilitate interoperability between systems and enable real-time data access.

• Enhance performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness across ETL processes, computing environments, and data delivery systems.

• Work collaboratively with Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, and Analytics teams to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives.

• Advocate for best practices in data quality, lineage, metadata management, and compliance.

• Produce architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and design templates to promote reuse and uniformity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of experience in data engineering or architecture positions.

• Strong knowledge of data warehousing and distributed data systems.

• Demonstrated experience in developing large-scale, high-throughput data pipelines utilizing Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, S3, and related technologies.

• Profound understanding of ETL/ELT design, data modeling, and data integration patterns (both batch and streaming).

• Proficient programming skills in Python and SQL.

• Familiarity with API development and orchestration tools.

• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.

• Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive attitude and sense of ownership.

• Excellent communication skills capable of simplifying complex technical concepts for varied audiences.

• Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and security best practices.

• Certifications in AWS, Databricks, or related technologies are advantageous.
