This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Lead solution and architectural initiatives.
• Engage in discussions with customers regarding small to medium complexity projects to comprehend the current architecture and gather requirements for the future solution.
• Join application design sessions and document any design-related inquiries.
• Cultivate a productive working relationship with customer architects and project teams.
• Aid in creating Solution Landscapes, Context diagrams, and Sequence diagrams for assigned projects.
• Contribute to the development of High-Level Design documents and guide developers and solution configurators in crafting detailed designs.
• Provide weekly status updates on projects to Solution Architecture leadership and assist in the generation of report documentation.
• Stay informed about new releases related to integration, architecture, and functional capabilities of Insurity’s products.
• Identify and document risks or issues arising from technical and architectural discussions, escalating them to Project Managers and Solution Architecture leadership.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices by reading relevant publications, articles, blogs, and more.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• Over 5 years of experience in a Solution Architect, Implementation Consultant, or similar position within Professional Services or consulting, directly interacting with external customers.
• Proven experience in delivering or configuring core P&C insurance systems (policy administration, billing, claims, or underwriting workbenches).
• Ability to design and document comprehensive end-to-end solutions, including configurations, integrations (APIs, file-based, services), and data flows.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; capable of challenging requirements and suggesting practical alternatives.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, including:
• The production of clear, audience-specific design documentation (e.g., solution designs, interface specifications, decision logs).
• Proficient facilitation of both remote and in-person design and review sessions.
• Effective time management skills, including planning, prioritization, and managing multiple concurrent projects or workstreams.
• Comfortable working collaboratively within cross-functional teams as well as independently on designated solution areas.
• High attention to detail, with the capability to link specific design decisions to broader business and architectural objectives.
