Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nigeria.

📋 Description

• Assess different alternatives to determine the optimal technology solutions for specific business challenges.

• Provide technical guidance, oversee technical designs and architecture, and estimate efforts for all software solutions.

• Lead the evaluation and estimation of solution feasibility and its business implications.

• Spearhead the establishment and enforcement of relevant architectural governance while ensuring compliance with industry frameworks.

• Identify and manage the organizational impact (including skills, processes, structures, and culture) as well as the financial implications of proposed architectural solutions.

• Continuously review the existing systems architecture and collaborate with technical personnel to recommend and implement improvements.

• Offer technical design and architectural leadership for developing solution prototypes to validate the appropriateness of recommended solutions.

• Analyze complex systems requirements and prepare design documentation accordingly.

• Provide stakeholders with updates regarding product development processes, costs, and budgets.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of project management methodologies employed within the Development team.

• Regularly research current and emerging technologies and suggest modifications as needed.

• Articulate the structure, characteristics, behavior, and other aspects of software to project stakeholders.

• Mentor junior architects and developers.

• Undertake miscellaneous projects and duties as assigned to assist the management team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Technology, or a related field; a postgraduate degree is preferred.

• At least 7 years of experience in engineering and software architecture design.

• A minimum of 4 years as a solution architect.

• Familiarity with architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).

• Experience with development frameworks and methodologies (such as Agile, DevOps, Scrum).

• Development experience in at least one of the following: .Net, Java, SQL, React, Angular, Python, etc.

• Experience in mobile development (Android, iOS).

• Proficiency in English.

• Strong communication skills.
