Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Comprehend, interpret, and act upon comprehensive business requirements specifications, translating that understanding into architectural solutions and specifications;

• Tailor and utilize architectural, modeling, or design tools for development purposes;

• Create the necessary conceptual architecture models using the client’s standard architectural tools, outline the solution components, and evaluate reusable elements from existing systems.

• Design, develop, test, and implement customized artifacts (such as reports, data export/import scripts, diagrams, object layouts, and tool configurations) in accordance with specified requirements;

• Recognize system, infrastructure, and project interdependencies while balancing competing priorities to ensure project deliverables are met;

• Evaluate the use of the client’s modeling tools and provide guidance on governance, conventions, procedures, methods, customizations, and/or configurations to optimize their effectiveness.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in IT or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in IT;

• At least 5 years of experience as a technology architect, data architect, or applications/services architect;

• Experience in software development;

• Familiarity with on-premise, virtualization, and cloud-based infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS);

• Experience working within an agile software development environment;

• Proficiency with OCP, Postgres, and Kafka;

• Extensive experience in solutions architecture and design across a diverse portfolio of software, cloud, and/or data projects;

• Practical knowledge in administering, customizing, and utilizing architectural, modeling, or design tools (e.g., Sparx EA);

• Strong understanding of architecture solution design, modeling, and project management;

• In-depth knowledge of essential IT skills: software engineering, security, system and network management, transaction processing, location and directory services, user interface design, international operations, data interchange, data management, graphics and imaging, operating system services, network services, and communications infrastructure;

• Solid understanding of cloud platforms;

• Familiarity with security best practices and tools;

• Knowledge of biometrics would be considered an advantage;

• Certification as a TOGAF practitioner is required;

• Proficient command of the English language.
