This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Understand the client's requirements and convert them into scalable and practical architecture.
• Design the system and select the technology stack for new developments.
• Remain actively engaged — write and review production code, and create prototypes when designs require validation rather than mere description.
• Evaluate existing systems and APIs to identify what can be reused, what is obsolete, and what requires replacement.
• Collaborate closely with client stakeholders, product owners, and development teams.
• Document the architecture in a clear manner to enable the team to build effectively from it.
• Maintain a consistent and feasible technical direction as projects evolve.
• Provide guidance to the implementation team and be the individual they consult for complex decisions.
• Conduct client workshops and technical discovery sessions.
• Over 7 years of experience in software delivery, with a minimum of 3 years in a Solution Architect role or as a senior backend/technical lead.
• More than 5 years of direct experience writing production code (not solely focusing on design or reviews) in Python, Node.js, Java, or Kotlin.
• Practical experience with AWS or Azure.
• Proficient in API design, event-driven architecture (Kafka, SQS, or RabbitMQ), and microservices/integration patterns.
• Familiarity with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Capable of reading API documentation and assessing integration possibilities independently.
• Experience in developing custom software, rather than merely integrating SaaS tools.
• Strong understanding of the software delivery process (Agile, DevOps).
• Proven experience conducting workshops and architecture reviews directly with external clients, with familiarity in dealing with US/UK clients.
• Business-level proficiency in English, both spoken and written (C1+); able to engage effectively with international clients.
• Willingness to work during overlapping CET hours to be available for the client.
• Ability to articulate a technical trade-off to a non-technical audience without losing their interest.
• Analytical, pragmatic, and proactive in taking ownership rather than waiting for direction.
• Client-oriented and adaptable.
• Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
• Opportunities for professional development and training.
• Flexible work hours and remote work options.
• Collaborative and innovative work environment.
