This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• As a member of the Corporate Insurance & Risk (CIR) team, you will manage a diverse caseload of Employer's Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) claims, primarily for corporate clients.
• Provide prompt, professional, and high-caliber service to corporate clients in handling injury claims.
• Take responsibility for managing a varied caseload of EL and PL matters with the appropriate level of oversight.
• Serve as a reliable advisor to clients, showcasing a depth of knowledge and expertise in line with your experience.
• Add value for clients by recognizing opportunities and delivering tailored legal solutions to address their challenges.
• Participate in marketing and business development initiatives within CIR, such as attending events, conducting client training, and engaging in meetings and entertainment activities.
• Enhance your understanding of DAC Beachcroft's additional services.
• Establish and nurture effective internal and external networks.
• Stay informed about the Firm's strategies and objectives.
• Manage confidential information in accordance with the firm's data security protocols.
• There may be future opportunities for supervisory and managerial responsibilities.
• Adhere to both internal and external service level agreements.
• Accurately record management information in a timely manner.
• Achieve individual performance targets.
• Extensive experience in managing pre-litigated fast track EL and PL claims is required.
• Experience with litigated EL and PL claims is preferred but not mandatory.
• Exceptional relationship-building and client management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with the capability to influence and foster enduring relationships.
• Experience working with corporate clients, including representing the firm in face-to-face meetings and entertaining clients as needed.
• Commercial acumen – the ability to identify and develop legitimate commercial opportunities, with guidance.
• A capacity to approach legal issues with a commercial mindset rather than an exclusively academic one.
• Analytical abilities – the skill to critically examine factual evidence, pinpoint key legal arguments, and apply them effectively.
• Proficiency in IT – must be computer literate with a solid working knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Prioritization and organizational skills – the capacity to manage your own time effectively, discern urgent tasks, and know when to seek assistance.
• Resilience – the ability to maintain your position during telephone negotiations and accept feedback constructively.
• Familiarity with social media for effectively promoting the CIR brand and its offerings.
