Solar Technician / Generator Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing solar panel systems and generators for both residential and commercial clients.

• Conducting site evaluations and assessing electrical systems to identify the most appropriate solar or generator solutions.

• Carrying out routine inspections and preventive maintenance on solar panels and generators.

• Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems with solar systems and generators, and implementing effective solutions.

• Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and industry standards during all installations and repairs.

• Collaborating with the team to enhance system performance and energy efficiency.

• Keeping precise records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.

• Offering technical support and guidance to clients regarding system operation and maintenance.

• Staying informed about the latest developments in solar and generator technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or an associate degree in electrical technology, renewable energy, or a related field is preferred.

• Over 8 years of experience in solar panel installation, maintenance, and/or generator technology.

• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems and power generation technologies.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in installing, repairing, and maintaining solar panels and generators.

• Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in the renewable energy sector.

• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.

• Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation purposes.

• Physical capability to lift heavy equipment and work at heights.

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

• Relevant certifications, such as NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) or OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), are advantageous.

• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to various job sites as necessary.
