This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Act as the regional technical authority and lead for solar operations and maintenance.
• Ensure regional operational excellence while coordinating intricate maintenance activities.
• Oversee state electrical permitting and serve as the regional authority for safety approvals.
• Collaborate directly with management and third-party vendors to optimize performance.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior field technicians.
• Guarantee adherence to relevant state regulations and safety protocols.
• Conduct and manage preventative and corrective maintenance on solar PV systems.
• Formulate corrective action plans to diagnose and resolve electrical issues.
• Supervise field operations and assist in the installation and commissioning of project components.
• Effectively communicate with teams and vendors regarding field repairs and claims.
• A valid Master Electrician license is mandatory.
• Colorado Journeyman Electrician license (DORA State Electrical Board) is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of focused experience in solar PV installation, operations, and maintenance is needed.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical theory, principles, and commercial/utility-scale solar configurations is essential.
• High proficiency in using specialized electrical testing equipment and advanced diagnostic instruments.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely and independently in 34,500VAC and 1500VDC environments.
• Exceptional troubleshooting, analytical, and technical root-cause analysis skills.
• Advanced capability to read, interpret, and modify complex electrical schematics and engineering designs.
• A valid driver’s license along with a clean driving record is required.
