This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Conduct advanced inspections, preventive maintenance, and core system troubleshooting for solar and energy storage systems.

• Operate safely in high-voltage environments without direct supervision.

• Mentor junior technicians on-site.

• Engage in Pre-Job Briefs and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) activities.

• Execute thorough electrical and mechanical inspections.

• Carry out advanced preventive maintenance tasks, including infrared thermography and insulation resistance testing.

• Independently identify and resolve equipment and operational issues.

• Develop and maintain detailed records of inspections and repairs.


⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Valid New Mexico CID Journeyman Electrician certificate, EE-98J classification.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the solar industry or a related electrical field.

• Proven understanding of electrical systems, solar energy principles, and grid-tied systems.

• Familiarity with specialized diagnostic tools such as I/V Curve Tracers, Meggers, and Isolation testers.

• Capability to read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics and engineering drawings.

• Knowledge of Data Acquisition Systems (DAS) is preferred.

• FAA Part 107 Certification and experience operating drones for aerial thermographic applications.

• OSHA 30-hour and NFPA 70e certifications are preferred.

• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
