This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Elevate field experience by performing advanced inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Work safely in high-voltage environments without direct supervision.
• Mentor junior technicians on-site while adhering to a structured development path for career advancement.
• Execute thorough electrical and mechanical inspections of solar energy systems.
• Carry out advanced preventive maintenance activities such as infrared thermography, insulation resistance testing, and I/V curve tracing.
• Independently diagnose and troubleshoot system and operational issues.
• Keep precise records of inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Remain informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies, sharing insights with junior technicians.
• Support team members and undertake additional duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent certification.
• At least 2 years of experience in the solar industry or a related electrical field.
• Proven knowledge of electrical systems, solar energy concepts, and grid-tied systems.
• Proficient in using specialized diagnostic tools such as I/V Curve Tracers, Meggers, and Isolation testers.
• Capability to read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
• FAA Part 107 Certification and experience operating drones for aerial thermographic applications.
• OSHA 30-hour and NFPA 70e certifications are preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Up to an 8% annual performance bonus.
