This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Conduct advanced inspections, preventive maintenance, and core troubleshooting of solar and energy storage systems.
• Safely manage and troubleshoot systems in high-voltage settings without direct supervision.
• Mentor junior technicians on-site while adhering to a structured development pathway towards promotion to Technician Level 3.
• Execute thorough electrical and mechanical inspections of solar energy systems.
• Create and implement preventive maintenance schedules for designated sites.
• Independently diagnose and troubleshoot system and operational issues.
• Keep meticulous records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• A valid Colorado Journeyman Electrician license (DORA State Electrical Board).
• At least 2 years of experience in the solar industry or a related electrical field.
• Proven knowledge of electrical systems, solar energy concepts, and grid-tied systems.
• Proficient in using specialized diagnostic instruments such as I/V Curve Tracers, Meggers, and Isolation testers.
• Capability to read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics and engineering diagrams.
• Familiarity with Data Acquisition Systems (DAS) is a plus.
• FAA Part 107 Certification (and experience in operating drones for aerial thermographic purposes).
• OSHA 30-hour and NFPA 70e certifications are preferred.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Up to an 8% performance bonus paid out annually.
