Software Unit Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and analyze the capabilities of Artemis II software to pinpoint technical deficiencies and establish assessment criteria.

• Determine software categories that need further evaluations based on safety or hazard-control mandates, collaborating with subject matter experts from the software team.

• Identify additional classes and methodologies characterized by cyclomatic complexity exceeding 5.

• Design and formulate analytical testing procedures and validation rationale derived from Phase 1 outcomes.

• Record results in the Software Development Framework (SDF) and communicate findings to stakeholders.

• Generate problem reports for any failed test cases or defects found in code or requirements.

• Document details of the test environment, including commercial tools, configuration setups, proprietary routines, and any other necessary information for reproducing tests.

• Create unit-test stubs and drivers.

• Work alongside software development Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to incorporate and replicate automated testing frameworks and flight-software artifacts.

• Perform peer reviews of software and document findings in accordance with DRD CEV-T-007 as instructed by the technical point of contact.

• Analyze and provide support for sustaining and mission-reconstitution software tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• US citizenship is mandatory.

• A minimum clearance level is required: US Citizen.

• Familiarity with software unit testing processes.

• Over 5 years of experience in unit testing for C or C++ programming languages.

• Proficient in using the Google Test software testing tool.

• Experience with embedded flight software is essential.

• Experience across multiple platforms is advantageous: Unix, MS Windows, Linux.

• Ability to assist in resolving unit testing issues.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

• A Bachelor's Degree along with a minimum of 9 years of experience is required.

• Experience with Matlab/Simulink is preferred.

• Capability to meet specified physical demands, including lifting up to 20 pounds and performing repetitive motions with hands, arms, or fingers.
