This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and cultivate a team of software test engineers, encompassing hiring, mentoring, performance management, and career growth.
• Define and execute the comprehensive test strategy, which includes functional, integration, regression, performance, and automated testing.
• Establish and convey test plans, schedules, resource estimates, and quality metrics for projects and releases.
• Promote the adoption of test automation, including frameworks, tools, and continuous testing practices.
• Collaborate with R&D, Product Management, and DevOps teams to facilitate "shift-left" quality and continuous delivery.
• Ensure the prompt identification, tracking, and resolution of defects and quality risks.
• Assist in managing test environments, tools, and data to support efficient and repeatable testing.
• Monitor and report on product quality metrics (e.g., defect leakage, test coverage, release readiness).
• Support adherence to applicable standards (e.g., regulated environments, validation frameworks where relevant).
• Continuously enhance testing processes, tools, and methodologies to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 8–12+ years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, or related positions.
• 3–5+ years of experience in managing or leading software test/QA teams.
• Strong grasp of software testing methodologies, frameworks, and lifecycle processes.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Proven experience in test planning, defect management, and release validation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across both technical and non-technical teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and continuous integration/continuous testing practices (preferred).
• Familiarity with modern web and enterprise application architectures (APIs, microservices, cloud-based systems) (preferred).
• Experience with quality metrics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making (preferred).
• Knowledge of regulatory or validated environments (e.g., FDA, ISO) where applicable (preferred).
• Experience in scaling QA processes across distributed/global teams (preferred).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB) (preferred).
• Vendor management experience (preferred).
• Experience with AI implementation in testing (preferred).
