QA Automation Engineer, Triage & Document Center

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of automation coverage for our Triage and Document Center platform.

• Design and create test frameworks from the ground up, integrating them into our Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

• Manage end-to-end automation coverage for the workflows within the Triage and Document Center.

• Assess and choose tools and technologies to meet the evolving quality requirements of the organization.

• Establish quality standards, best practices, and onboarding documentation for future team members.

• Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure testability at every phase of delivery.

• Develop strategies for test data management.

• Create custom internal tools and utilities to support and enhance the automation ecosystem.

• Contribute to decisions regarding architecture-level testing strategies across the wider QA organization.


⛳️ Requirements

• 4–5+ years of practical experience in test automation — focusing on building frameworks rather than merely executing them.

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Proficiency in programming and scripting in one or more of the following: Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#.

• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns (including Page Object Model, Factory, Singleton).

• Experience in scripting for test infrastructure setup (using Bash, PowerShell).

• Demonstrable experience in building test automation frameworks from scratch.

• Expert-level knowledge of UI automation tools such as Selenium or Playwright.

• Experience with BDD frameworks (like Cucumber or Behave) for behavior-driven test design.

• Comprehensive understanding of REST APIs and the HTTP protocol.

• Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or Karate.

• Strong working knowledge of Azure DevOps — including pipelines, work item tracking, and test plan integration.

• Familiarity with SQL databases and query construction.

• Understanding of database testing concepts and validation patterns.

• Experience with test data management strategies, including generation, masking, and seeding.
