This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.
• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation frameworks, which include data-driven, keyword-driven, hybrid, and BDD frameworks.
• Enhance test coverage and execution efficiency through the creation of robust automation framework designs.
• Create and sustain automated test scripts for web, mobile, desktop, API, and microservices applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and production-quality automation code.
• Develop reusable testing utilities and libraries.
• Engage in code reviews to continuously elevate code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
• Design, develop, and execute automated RESTful and GraphQL API tests.
• Validate business logic, authentication, authorization, and request/response payloads.
• Perform database validation utilizing SQL and NoSQL databases to ensure application data integrity.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Analyze pipeline failures, enhance test reliability, and ensure stable execution of automated tests.
• Participate in requirements analysis, design reviews, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies to detect quality risks early.
• Ensure quality throughout the SDLC by collaborating with cross-functional teams during Agile development.
• Develop test strategies, test plans, and quality metrics to boost application quality and automation adoption.
• Collaborate with development teams to enhance application testability and promote automation best practices.
• Support performance, load, stress, scalability, and fundamental security testing.
• Identify bottlenecks and propose performance enhancements.
• Create and maintain reusable test data, manage test environments, and support service virtualization for reliable testing.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and Solution Architects to deliver high-quality software.
• Provide precise effort estimates, mentor junior engineers, and advocate for quality engineering best practices throughout the team.
• Monitor automation execution outcomes, conduct root cause analysis, maintain quality dashboards, and suggest process enhancements to improve product quality and delivery efficiency.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in software testing, test automation, and software development.
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Kotlin, or Swift.
• Practical experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or Robot Framework.
• Experience in API testing using Rest Assured, Postman, Karate, Newman, or GraphQL testing.
• Proficiency in unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, NUnit, xUnit, or PyTest.
• Familiarity with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks, including Cucumber, SpecFlow, or Behave.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Proficiency with version control systems, including Git, GitHub, Azure Repos, or Bitbucket.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and containerization technologies, including Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, k6, or Gatling.
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools, including Azure DevOps, Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray.
• Experience working with distributed systems, microservices, cloud-native applications, and containerized environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), AI-assisted testing tools, intelligent test automation, and secure software development practices is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.
