QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Establish and document best practices for QA, testing standards, and automation guidelines across ongoing client engagements.

• Create reusable testing frameworks, tooling templates, and documentation that can be independently utilized by project teams.

• Define and monitor cross-client, cross-project, and cross-region QA metrics (such as coverage, defect rates, and flakiness) and provide reports on quality trends.

• Set test coverage requirements and quality gates for CI/CD pipelines.

• Develop and sustain automated test suites (including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests) across multiple ongoing projects.

• Configure and manage test infrastructure.

• Assess and recommend tools that are suitable for each project's technology stack.

• Act as a shared resource for QA inquiries among project teams.

• Review test code and offer constructive feedback as necessary.

• Engage in project planning to identify testability risks proactively.

• Document testing patterns, runbooks, and guides for common scenarios.

• Gradually decrease reliance on dedicated QA engineers by enhancing the skills of project engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a QA Engineer.

• Expertise in at least two major test automation frameworks (examples include Pytest, RSpec, JUnit, XUnit, Cucumber, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).

• Proficient in writing tests in at least two programming languages.

• Practical experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins).

• Knowledge of API testing tools (like Postman, REST Assured, or similar).

• Familiarity with test reporting and observability tools (including Allure, ReportPortal, or similar).

• Proven experience managing multiple projects or teams simultaneously.

• Excellent communication skills — capable of conveying QA concepts to engineers who are not specialized in testing.

• Ability to work independently in loosely structured environments.
