Software Release Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete coordination of software releases from start to finish.

• Take ownership of the entire release lifecycle, implementing structured and consistent processes.

• Lead the planning, manage dependencies, and guarantee reliable delivery.

• Work collaboratively with product managers, engineering teams, and stakeholders to outline release plans.

• Handle the full release lifecycle, including scheduling, coordination, and communication with stakeholders.

• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks that could affect release quality or timelines.

• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure that releases adhere to quality standards.

• Keep precise release documentation, including release notes and deployment procedures.

• Facilitate communication and alignment among cross-functional teams.

• Offer post-release support and troubleshooting as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.

• A minimum of 5 years in software delivery, DevOps, or release management positions.

• Experience in releasing applications within a Low Code/No Code environment, such as Appian.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Strong comprehension of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release management processes.

• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Familiarity with release management tools and version control systems (e.g., Git, Jira, Jenkins, etc.).

• Must comply with all government security requirements to maintain employment.
