Software Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Agile teams to facilitate the implementation of new features and enhancements.

• Create, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and testing strategies.

• Conduct functional, integration, system, and regression testing across applications, APIs, and data platforms.

• Ensure data quality verification across both relational and non-relational databases.

• Develop and sustain QA automation frameworks utilizing open-source tools (e.g., Selenium, pytest).

• Perform both manual and automated testing to guarantee release quality.

• Establish and manage test data and test environments for integration and QA workflows.

• Monitor, document, and assist in the resolution of defects, including basic root cause analysis.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by embedding automated test execution into build and deployment processes.

• Collaborate with offshore and cross-functional teams to synchronize testing efforts.

• Engage in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and estimation of QA tasks.

• Continuously seek to learn and enhance QA processes, tools, and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 2–4 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing.

• Proficient in testing modern applications developed with C#, Python, Java, or .NET frameworks.

• Practical experience with SQL and relational databases (basic exposure to NoSQL is preferred).

• Familiar with manual and automated testing methodologies.

• Knowledge of QA automation tools such as Selenium, pytest, or comparable frameworks.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar).

• Experience working in Windows and/or Linux operating systems.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging abilities.

• Excellent communication skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively across teams.
