This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Review PRDs, user stories, and Persona documentation to pinpoint relevant user workflows.
• Develop visual workflow/process diagrams such as flowcharts, swimlane diagrams, and BPMN diagrams.
• Recognize decision points, branching logic, and system dependencies within workflows.
• Create detailed end-to-end test plans and test cases that encompass happy paths, edge cases, and failure/error scenarios.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Business Analysts to define acceptance criteria.
• Prioritize testing efforts based on risk, usage frequency, and business impact for each Persona.
• Conduct manual and, where applicable, automated testing across workflows, systems, and integration points.
• Validate interactions between roles and assess how one Persona's actions impact another's workflow.
• Execute tests across various environments, browsers/devices, and permission levels.
• Log, track, and prioritize defects; work in conjunction with engineering to confirm fixes.
• Maintain traceability between PRD requirements, Personas, workflows, and test coverage.
• Deliver status reports on workflow test coverage and quality risk areas.
• Suggest workflow enhancements based on testing insights.
• Develop and sustain a repository of workflow test cases and Persona-driven test scenarios for reuse and regression testing.
• Partner with automation engineers to identify workflows suitable for automated regression testing.
• Demonstrated experience in QA/software testing, with a preference for process/workflow testing over mere feature-level testing.
• Strong capability to read and interpret PRDs, user stories, and Persona documents, translating them into structured test scenarios.
• Familiarity with process mapping tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Miro, Visio, BPMN tools).
• Comprehensive understanding of test case design techniques (boundary testing, equivalence partitioning, scenario-based testing).
• Knowledge of test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, Xray).
• Excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills — adept at identifying logical gaps or missing scenarios.
• Superior written and verbal communication abilities for effective cross-functional collaboration (Product, Engineering, UX).
• Experience with workflow/BPM engines (e.g., Camunda, Pega, custom workflow engines) — desirable.
• Basic understanding of API testing or automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) — desirable.
• Background in Agile/Scrum environments — desirable.
• Experience in AI-based test automation creation — desirable.
• Detail-oriented with a systems-thinking approach.
• Empathetic understanding of end-user Personas.
• Proactive in communication and capable of clarifying ambiguous requirements.
• Ability to independently manage complex, multi-step processes.
