Software Quality Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create functional testing scenarios and scripts through handover meetings and discussions with technical leadership to grasp requirements.

• Carry out manual test cases, including database manipulation to generate test data and validate information.

• Record and manage defects in Azure DevOps, detailing reproduction steps, expected outcomes, and actual results.

• Conduct UI testing, verifying functional behavior, usability, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Perform basic REST API tests, checking response status codes, payloads, and fundamental business rules.

• Assist in reviewing requirements and acceptance criteria to guarantee sufficient test coverage.

• Revise and maintain test cases as features progress.

• Work in collaboration with developers and QA professionals to understand deliverables and confirm implementations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed or in-progress Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Systems Analysis and Development, or related disciplines.

• Proven experience in functional testing of web applications.

• Familiarity with Agile work environments.

• Knowledge of functional, integration, and regression testing methodologies.

• Understanding of the software development lifecycle.

• Practical experience with web applications, encompassing both front-end and back-end systems.

• Basic knowledge of Java programming.

• Experience in testing APIs using Postman.

• Proficiency in defect-tracking tools like Azure DevOps.

• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

• Knowledge of SQL databases.

• Experience in test automation with tools like Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar technologies.

• Preferred qualifications include exposure to enterprise systems or complex business rules, introductory software testing courses, and CTFL certification.
