This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon, +1 more state.
• Oversee multiple backlogs in Jira/Confluence, craft and review tickets with developers, and update stakeholders and leadership on delivery status and progress.
• Take ownership of the Platform team's roadmap and work with strategy and technology departments to prioritize initiatives and features for a well-balanced roadmap.
• Manage our proprietary Identity Service that utilizes OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC) flows to guarantee secure user authentication and authorization across all Beatport platforms.
• Supervise the system that receives, analyzes, and converts content (tracks/releases) from global suppliers, ensuring that their metadata and audio files are accurately processed and stored in our databases, making them available for our downstream APIs.
• Direct our Catalog and Library Service, which serves as the API responsible for discovering, organizing, and delivering content across all Beatport suite products.
• Spearhead the strategy for phasing out legacy systems while introducing new services.
• Ensure that the migration of core data (Ingestion) and access (Identity) occurs without any downtime.
• 3+ years of experience as a Software Producer (or in a similar role) managing intricate backend systems and technical projects.
• Familiarity with Scrum ceremonies, including story writing, kanban, sprint planning, and coordinating multiple developer teams.
• Extensive experience with API protocols, HTTP methods, status codes, and API troubleshooting.
• Capability to independently query databases to validate schemas, comprehend the data, and resolve data integrity issues.
• Proficiency in visualizing, documenting, and conveying how platform-level changes affect the broader product ecosystem.
• Ability to discuss, comprehend, and translate complex backend workflows into stories for developers, and effectively communicate that to non-technical stakeholders.
• Nice to Have: Experience with OAuth/Identity management (JWTs, scopes, and token strategies).
• Background in the music industry or experience with large-scale content ingestion systems.
• Experience with Postman for managing API libraries and documentation.
