Software License Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee software license compliance, optimization, and data integrity utilizing the ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) application.

• Ensure precise license positions, facilitate audit readiness, and promote cost savings.

• Conduct software license reconciliation through ServiceNow SAM.

• Evaluate effective license position (ELP) to pinpoint over-licensing, under-licensing, and compliance vulnerabilities.

• Sustain accurate license entitlements, contracts, and usage data within the platform.

• Assist in compliance for major vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, and IBM.

• Adhere to ServiceNow best practices for data normalization and reconciliation.

• Collaborate with CMDB and Discovery teams to enhance data quality and coverage.

• Prepare for and assist during vendor software audits by supplying accurate license data and reports.

• Detect compliance gaps and engage with stakeholders to mitigate risks.

• Work alongside procurement and finance teams to ensure alignment of license usage with contracts and renewals.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Software Asset Management, IT Asset Management, or license administration.

• Practical experience with ServiceNow SAM (or similar SAM tools).

• Fundamental understanding of software licensing models and compliance principles.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.

• Experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro.

• Familiarity with ITIL and ITAM frameworks.
