This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Successfully implement Empyrean's Profitability Solutions, guiding clients from project initiation through to go-live with a well-structured and sustainable model.
• Convert each client’s profitability goals and reporting requirements into a tailored implementation strategy that their team can manage and maintain.
• Ensure the configuration of profitability dimensions, hierarchies, and allocation logic to yield accurate, decision-ready outcomes, including allocations for capital, ACL, and provisions.
• Verify that client data related to profitability is complete, reconciled, and reliable, serving as a solid foundation for reporting.
• Empower clients to generate and trust their profitability reports across various views, including customer, instrument, product, and organizational perspectives.
• Provide clients with the tools to independently manage the solution and create their own reports through effective training and knowledge transfer.
• Counsel clients on best practices for data management, reporting, and profitability assessment.
• Act as a conduit between the client user community and Empyrean's product management team, relaying client requirements to guide product development.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools and standardized processes to deliver value more efficiently and consistently, while contributing to the enhancement of these processes over time.
• Protect sensitive customer information by adhering to all relevant policies and controls and utilizing approved data transmission channels.
• Perform additional job responsibilities and tasks as assigned and directed.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in banking, financial services, FP&A, or financial technology.
• Comprehensive understanding of the banking sector, accounting practices, and financial statements.
• Proficient in Excel with experience handling large datasets.
• Exceptional attention to detail along with strong planning and organizational capabilities.
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
• Comfortable with following and enhancing structured processes.
• Proven AI literacy in a professional context, demonstrating sound judgment on its application, including knowledge of data-handling and confidentiality issues.
• Working knowledge of bank profitability concepts, including Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), cost allocation, and profitability measurement across products, customers, instruments, and organizations.
• Understanding of fixed-income cash flow calculations and fixed-income mathematics.
• Knowledge of risk-based/regulatory capital attribution and allowance (ACL/ALLL) calculations.
• Experience in implementing planning or profitability solutions within a financial institution.
• Background in financial data management, ETL tools, and Microsoft Power Query.
• Proficiency in SQL or other data analysis tools.
• Previous experience in consulting, implementation, or customer success roles.
• Experience in developing or enhancing repeatable, AI-assisted workflows.
