Software Engineering Manager I – Mobile

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead and nurture engineering teams with a strong emphasis on achieving high performance and fostering individual growth.

• Comprehend the company's strategic and operational objectives, effectively communicating and aligning technical direction with these strategies.

• Ensure the delivery of technical solutions that meet business requirements, collaborating closely with PMs, Designers, and other leaders.

• Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and stakeholders, guaranteeing transparency and alignment.

• Foster an atmosphere of collaboration, psychological safety, and continuous feedback.

• Develop technical strategies across the team's domains while advocating for engineering best practices such as Clean Code, TDD, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.

• Engage in defining and monitoring OKRs and technical metrics, including lead time, stability, and test coverage.

• Promote Inner Source initiatives, the use of RFCs, and a culture of living documentation.

• Navigate ambiguous challenges and prioritize effectively, balancing deadlines with quality.

• Influence team decision-making regarding solution specifics.

• Ensure the quality, scalability, and adherence to best practices of the product/platform.

• Define, collect, analyze, and monitor metrics related to application/product health.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary technical teams grounded in principles and employing agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

• Serve as an ambassador for a culture of high collaboration and quality within the team.

• Background in environments with robust and scalable architectures.

• Strong knowledge and experience in guiding teams that adopt architectural and code design patterns, maintaining consistent and well-documented coding standards.

• Experience in mobile development for both Android and iOS platforms.

• Comprehensive understanding of RESTful APIs and the HTTP protocol.

• Strong grasp of algorithms and data structures.

• Solid understanding of SOLID principles, Clean Code, and Design Patterns.

• Experience in investigation, troubleshooting, telemetry, monitoring, observability, and debugging of systems.

• Familiarity with software testing methodologies: unit, integration, stress, mutation, and E2E tests.

• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, along with data modeling, caching strategies, and distributed processing.

• Understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, automation, and the associated culture.

• Experience with metrics and marketing tools, such as Firebase, Google Analytics, and Amplitude.

• Experience in managing mobile platforms, particularly internal development clients.
