This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Lead engineering teams focused on Credit, Guarantees, and Cards solutions, ensuring ongoing technical advancement, stability, and alignment with strategic goals;
• Facilitate seamless integration and communication among engineering, product, and business teams, ensuring delivery quality meets initial project expectations;
• Cultivate team and individual growth by offering technical mentorship, promoting a culture of feedback, autonomy, and accountability;
• Uphold engineering excellence through best practices, code reviews, test automation, CI/CD, and observability;
• Support architectural decisions for both legacy and new systems, emphasizing reuse, modularity, and performance;
• Proactively address technical risks, manage technical debt, and conduct failure/post-mortem analyses;
• Oversee technical performance, quality, and productivity metrics for the squads under your leadership;
• Strategize technical capacity and plan for team expansion;
• Assist in regulatory or external partner projects, serving as a technical facilitator with business units;
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field;
• Prior experience leading engineering teams in regulated settings (such as banks, fintechs, or payment providers);
• Proven history of delivering complex projects in Credit, Guarantees, and/or Cards;
• Demonstrated capability to lead technical professionals (developers, tech leads, specialist engineers);
• Structured thinker with effective communication skills and strong collaboration abilities across technical and business teams;
• Capacity to make data-driven decisions that align technical pragmatism with organizational strategy;
• Familiarity with Insurance and Investments is advantageous;
• Strong knowledge of backend development (Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript);
• Experience with modern architectures: microservices, RESTful APIs, messaging (SQS, SNS), and serverless (Lambda);
• Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, Amazon Aurora, DynamoDB);
• Practical experience in 100% AWS cloud environments, with a focus on scalability and observability (CloudWatch, ALB, NLB);
• Knowledge of integrations with partner systems (e.g., Matera, Salesforce) and usage of external APIs;
• Understanding of complex financial products, such as Insurance and Investments, is preferred;
• Comprehension of anti-fraud engineering principles, application security, and reliability.
