This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the daily operations of an Engineering team, which includes planning, prioritization, execution, delivery, and team rituals.
• Create and nurture a high-performing team through recruitment, onboarding, coaching, providing feedback, performance management, and career development.
• Take ownership of the team’s platform roadmap and priorities, ensuring a balance between stakeholder commitments and long-term scalability, reliability, extensibility, and developer experience.
• Collaborate across functions with stakeholders to comprehend product strategies, integration requirements, technical limitations, and future growth objectives.
• Convert shared needs into reusable services, APIs, tools, and self-service functionalities.
• Lead architectural discussions and design sessions that encompass service contracts, platform standards, integrations, migrations, and technical trade-offs.
• Act as the technical accountability point and participate in code reviews, architectural decisions, and complex troubleshooting.
• Foster engineering and operational excellence in areas such as reliability, performance, scalability, observability, security, documentation, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience managing software engineering teams.
• Proven experience leading platform, infrastructure, shared-services, or developer-enablement teams for multiple products or business domains.
• Demonstrated history of developing technical roadmaps that balance stakeholder needs with scalability, reliability, extensibility, and developer experience.
• Exceptional cross-functional leadership abilities, including stakeholder alignment, management of competing priorities, and influence across teams.
• Proficient in at least one object-oriented programming language, such as C# or Java.
• Practical experience with modern .NET technologies.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, Kafka or other messaging brokers, and cloud infrastructure and services, particularly AWS.
• Experience in managing production systems, including observability, incident response, capacity planning, cost optimization, and ongoing reliability enhancements.
• May need to obtain a gaming license issued by the appropriate state agency as a condition of employment.
