This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead a team of product engineers focused on creating customer-oriented React Native mobile applications and Next.js web experiences.
• Take ownership of team outcomes, professional development, and engineering excellence.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to shape the project roadmap.
• Guide the team in developing scalable systems rather than isolated features.
• Oversee an AI-driven team, outlining its planning, definition, construction, review, and testing processes.
• Balance quality and speed, ensuring accuracy and dependability in financial advice.
• Quickly relay customer feedback to the team.
• Articulate the team's strategy, roadmap, rationale, and progress to colleagues, partners, and leadership.
• Drive organizational and workflow transformations through effective adoption.
• Collaborate as an equal with other Engineering Managers.
• Report directly to the Senior Director of Engineering.
• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering, including substantial hands-on involvement as an individual contributor.
• More than 2 years of experience managing engineering teams; this should not be a first management role.
• Proven experience in managing software engineers with responsibility for team outcomes.
• Experience in leading a product engineering team focused on AI solutions.
• Strong instincts regarding product and business decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver constructive feedback, reset expectations, and invest in top talent.
• Technical credibility in a modern web or mobile product stack.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity.
• Familiar with data analysis, experimentation, and measurement for product decision-making.
• Experience in recruiting engineers and maintaining a high hiring standard.
• Preferred: Background in consumer fintech.
• Preferred: Proficiency with React Native, Next.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, Apollo, or similar technologies.
• Preferred: Experience with personalization, recommendation systems, and customer data management.
• Preferred: Collaboration experience with compliance and security teams.
• Preferred: Experience in defining operational models.
• Preferred: Experience mentoring other managers.
• Must reside in the U.S.
