Software Engineering Manager – AI Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.

📋 Description

• As a member of the AI platform team and the broader engineering group at JumpCloud, you will take charge of overseeing and guiding the engineering teams under your leadership.

• You will develop features, influence architectural decisions, establish best practices, and ensure product quality.

• Your role will involve shaping our engineering methodologies alongside product strategy and execution.

• As a proactive participant in the engineering leadership team, you will collaborate with peers and other departments to cultivate, lead, and motivate a top-tier engineering organization.

• You will deliver technical leadership and oversight for team operations in your areas of specialization.

• You will manage hiring, onboarding, and mentoring a diverse and expanding team of high-potential individuals.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in leading and building software engineering teams that develop on public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, with a minimum of 10+ years of overall industry experience.

• Proven experience in managing a team of 8 or more individuals, including performance management and team development.

• A history of successfully leading and executing team and/or organizational projects and initiatives to timely completion and delivery.

• Strong grasp of software engineering principles and methodologies.

• Demonstrated ownership of Software-as-a-Service and a solid advocate for Reliability Principles.

• Practical experience working with agile teams.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with other engineering managers and both technical and non-technical business stakeholders.

• Capability to swiftly adopt new technologies and industry best practices into your expertise.

• Experience in managing cross-functional teams, including Software and Quality Engineers.

• A strong history of identifying, hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing engineers.

• Proven ability to excel in a dynamic, team-oriented, and collaborative environment.

• A record of continuous improvement through innovation, delivery, process enhancement, and quality assurance.

• Experience in leading geographically diverse engineering teams in today's remote-first work landscape.

• Familiarity with AI coding agents such as Cursor, Claude, or Copilot, as well as AI tools like Gemini, Notebook LLM, and their effective utilization for daily work optimization.
