
Software Engineering Manager – Agentic AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Architecting quality solutions. You will establish the frameworks, toolchain, and roadmap transitioning from conventional automation to agentic methodologies. Your role is to ensure quality is integrated into the system rather than added as an afterthought.
• Leading a team of 6-10 AQEs. You will provide mentorship, set technical direction, and conduct hands-on pilots as the team adapts to the agentic era.
• Maintaining the current test automation framework (Java/JS · Selenium · Playwright). Your responsibilities will include ensuring its health while evolving it, refactoring necessary components, and retiring obsolete ones.
• Designing agentic quality engineering. Collaborating with engineering leaders to co-create deterministic agent workflows and non-deterministic (LLM-assisted) strategies, ensuring clear governance where necessary.
• Implementing observability and reporting tools. Developing coverage dashboards, flakiness detection mechanisms, and CI quality gates that engineers can truly rely on.
• Testing features powered by AI. Conducting behavioral validation, non-deterministic regression, and assessing outputs for the product's inherent agentic functionalities.
• Creating internal tools. Developing solutions that enhance the overall engineering organization’s speed and quality awareness, not just those of the QE team.
• Minimum of 7 years in software engineering, AQE, or SDET with a trajectory towards quality leadership.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Java and/or JavaScript/TypeScript, sufficient to devise innovative solutions rather than merely configuring existing ones.
• Over 3 years of experience leading AQE or engineering teams in a hands-on capacity, managing pilots, encouraging adoption, and working directly with the team.
• Strong expertise in automation architecture: you craft frameworks instead of just writing tests.
• Demonstrated ability to drive quality initiatives and manage change across engineering teams.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted testing tools in a production environment.
• Understanding of agentic/LLM concepts: evaluating model outputs, managing non-determinism, and orchestrating agents.
• Familiarity with CI/CD integration, shift-left strategies, and quality-by-design principles.
• Proficiency in English at a B2 level or higher.
