This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Lead a team of software engineers in the design and development of contemporary web applications.
• Establish, document, and uphold coding standards, development workflows, and engineering best practices.
• Drive solution architecture and engage in high-level design discussions.
• Take ownership of designated features and software components from clinical/commercial intent through to technical design and delivery.
• Convert anticipated clinical behaviors into software requirements, designs, and implementations.
• Actively participate in coding and the implementation of essential features and components.
• Conduct code reviews focusing on quality, security, and performance.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges in both development and production settings.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and QA teams to successfully deliver features.
• Provide mentoring and coaching to team members.
• Take part in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release management.
• Utilize Microsoft Azure for hosting, storage, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring.
• Advocate for DevOps practices, including automated testing, continuous integration, and smooth deployments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of software development experience.
• At least 2 years in a technical leadership position.
• Proficient in React.js or a comparable modern JavaScript framework.
• Proficient in Java, C#.NET/ASP.NET Core, Python, or another object-oriented programming language.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP platform services.
• Strong grasp of software architecture, design patterns, and microservices.
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile methodologies.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and collaboration abilities.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates is a plus.
• Familiarity with OAuth, JWT, and Azure AD is a plus.
• Knowledge of data engineering or machine learning pipelines is a plus.
• Experience in regulated medical device or healthcare environments, including FDA design controls, equivalent QMS, design documentation, verification evidence, and requirements traceability is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Ability to mentor and inspire teams.
• Capability to convey complex technical concepts in business-friendly terms.
• Ability to identify risks, express disagreement, and provide constructive feedback.
