Software Engineering Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance applications using Ruby on Rails.

• Facilitate technical design discussions, architecture choices, and code evaluations.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to team members.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams to meet business requirements.

• Enhance application performance, security, and database query efficiency.

• Oversee and refine CI/CD pipelines.

• Support cloud-based deployments, and manage monitoring and troubleshooting in production settings.

• Ensure high-quality outputs through unit tests, integration tests, and automated pipelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–10 years of professional experience in software development.

• Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails.

• Extensive experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Practical experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines.

• Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, application security, and performance enhancement.

• Demonstrated ability to lead a team, mentor engineers, and take technical ownership.

• Experience with version control systems (Git) and agile development methodologies.
