Software Engineer – Workforce Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and manage applications, integrations, and cloud infrastructure for The Home Depot's enterprise Workforce Management platform.

• Create, test, deploy, and sustain software across both UI and backend systems.

• Set up and assist with UKG Pro WFM/Dimensions and its integrations.

• Oversee GCP infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.

• Collaborate with internally developed GCP-hosted applications, Data Hub pipelines, and third-party integrations such as Boomi.

• Work directly with UKG Support/Engineering to resolve production challenges.

• Adhere to organizational best practices and engage in discussions for improvement.

• Team up with colleagues in agile processes and establish partnerships to achieve common goals.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen years of age.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.

• Knowledge of workforce management or HR/payroll systems (experience with UKG Pro WFM/Dimensions or Kronos is a plus).

• Familiarity with integration platforms (such as Dell Boomi) and API-based integrations.

• Experience with SQL and relational/NoSQL database technologies, particularly in an ETL/data-pipeline context.

• Knowledge of front-end frameworks (like React/TypeScript or similar) and backend service development.

• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GKE/Kubernetes, BigQuery, Cloud Armor, CloudSQL, Cloud Load Balancing).

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (such as Spinnaker), containerization (Docker), and source control (Git/GitHub).

• Understanding of identity/SSO protocols and migrations (SAML/OIDC, PingFederate, Microsoft Entra ID).

• Knowledge of secrets management (HashiCorp Vault, Google Secret Manager).

• Familiarity with web application security practices (including XSS remediation, hardened container images).

• Comfortable collaborating directly with vendor support/engineering teams to troubleshoot production issues.

• Eagerness to leverage AI-assisted tools in engineering workflows.
