Software Engineer – Test

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Create and develop automated end-to-end tests for intricate web application processes utilizing Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks, particularly concentrating on data-intensive product domains such as reports, dashboards, recommendations, and cost logic.

• Convert product functionalities, user workflows, and technical vulnerabilities into test scenarios that effectively identify genuine issues rather than merely confirming successful outcomes.

• Collaborate with developers and product managers to gain insight into new features prior to their release, pinpoint quality risks early, and define what constitutes "done."

• Conduct in-depth investigations of bugs: reproduce issues, ascertain root causes, document findings clearly, and communicate results with the team—beyond just filing a ticket.

• Actively utilize AI tools to enhance test planning, test generation, failure analysis, and improve test coverage.

• Sustain and enhance the organization, reliability, and scalability of the test suite—not merely adding tests to existing structures.

• Engage in release processes and serve as a quality indicator for what is safe to deploy.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of practical experience in QA automation or as a Software Engineer in Test.

• Hands-on experience in constructing and maintaining automated tests for web applications.

• Familiarity with Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent frameworks.

• Proficient coding skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or similar languages.

• Strong analytical skills—capable of investigating the reasons behind failures, not just acknowledging them.

• Experience in testing SaaS products featuring dashboards, reports, or data-rich interfaces.

• Proficient English communication skills.

• Experience with API testing.

• Knowledge of Git and CI/CD workflows.

• Experience with SQL or handling large datasets.

• Basic understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Experience in testing integrations, data pipelines, billing systems, or analytics platforms.

• Background in enhancing automation infrastructure rather than solely writing individual tests.
