Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, SDET – AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable end-to-end (E2E), integration, and API testing frameworks from the ground up.

• Construct automated quality infrastructure that facilitates swift product development and deployment.

• Create testing frameworks and evaluation systems for AI/LLM-powered applications, encompassing agentic workflows and RAG-based systems.

• Establish automated guardrails, confidence metrics, regression detection, and traceability mechanisms for non-deterministic AI systems.

• Integrate automated testing within CI/CD pipelines to ensure dependable and continuous delivery.

• Utilize AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot to expedite test development and maintenance.

• Collaborate closely with software engineers to enhance testability and set quality standards across both backend and frontend systems.

• Apply testing strategies for REST and GraphQL APIs, as well as authentication flows and microservice architectures.

• Oversee application quality in production utilizing observability and analytics tools.

• Foster a culture of engineering excellence, automation, and quality ownership across distributed teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level experience as an SDET or Test Automation Engineer.

• Strong expertise in TypeScript and Node.js.

• Hands-on experience with Playwright (preferred), Cypress, or Puppeteer.

• Extensive experience testing REST and GraphQL APIs, including authentication and authorization processes.

• Experience with integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

• In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL and test data management.

• Demonstrated capability to design and build testing frameworks from scratch.

• Experience working independently in remote, async-first settings.

• Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
