Intermediate Test Engineer – Hybrid Manual & Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Strategize, design, and implement manual test cases for backend and API functionalities.

• Conduct API testing for backend services and integrations.

• Create and sustain automated tests utilizing Java-based test automation frameworks.

• Analyze defects and perform root cause investigations in collaboration with developers.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies and assist with sprint delivery tasks.

• Work closely with developers to clarify requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

• Keep test documentation clear and up-to-date.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of manual testing experience with a strong focus on backend and API testing skills.

• Proven experience in designing, executing, and maintaining test cases and test plans.

• Strong grasp of test design techniques and requirements analysis.

• Practical experience with Java-based test automation (Java, Rest Assured, JUnit, Maven) within Spring-based applications.

• Excellent skills in defect investigation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

• Familiarity with working in Agile teams in hybrid manual/automation environments.

• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate efficiently with developers and stakeholders.

• Proficient in using Git for version control.

• A proactive and delivery-oriented mindset.

• Upper-Intermediate proficiency in English.

• Experience with Playwright (Java) or Selenium.

• Familiarity with Cucumber for legacy API testing.

• Exposure to AWS environments.

• Background in software development.

• Experience in the Point-of-Sale (POS) industry.
