Software Engineer – SaaS Platform Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs utilizing Java and contemporary service frameworks.

• Create scalable cloud-native services, service-oriented architectures, and secure integration solutions.

• Engage with AWS services, PostgreSQL, Redis, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and observability tools.

• Diagnose production issues, enhance performance, and take part in root-cause analysis.

• Collaborate with QA, SRE, product management, DevOps, and various engineering teams to ensure feature delivery and operational readiness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong background in Java backend development along with robust software engineering principles.

• Proficient in designing REST APIs, distributed systems, data models, caching strategies, and service integrations.

• Familiarity with AWS cloud services, particularly EC2, ECS, API Gateway, RDS/PostgreSQL, Redis, IAM, networking, and deployment workflows.

• Experience with CI/CD practices, Git, Linux command-line tools, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance evaluation.

• Capability to work independently in an Agile setting while fostering collaboration across various engineering disciplines.
