Software Engineer, Quality Assurance – Test Automation, Web, .Net/C#

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• You are responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated tests for both frontend and backend components, including unit, integration, and regression tests.

• You will execute automated API tests and participate in contract testing as necessary to ensure stability in integrations.

• You will contribute to the automation of tests for web applications utilizing modern technologies such as React/TypeScript and .NET / C#.

• You will ensure that automated tests are incorporated into CI/CD pipelines, providing quick and reliable feedback.

• You will assist in managing reliable test data to maintain the stability and reproducibility of automated tests.

• You will analyze test outcomes, recognize patterns in failures, and assist in root-cause analysis in collaboration with developers.

• You will leverage AI-assisted tools for test generation, maintenance, and analysis, while critically assessing their outputs.

• You will work closely with engineers, product management, and UX teams to ensure that requirements are testable and that quality risks are identified early in the process.


⛳️ Requirements

• You possess substantial professional experience as a Software Engineer or Quality Engineer, with a strong emphasis on automated testing.

• You have practical experience in test automation for web applications and APIs.

• You are familiar with modern testing frameworks within web and .NET ecosystems (for instance, Playwright/Cypress, xUnit/NUnit, or similar tools).

• You understand the impact of databases and data persistence on testing strategies and test stability.

• You prioritize quality, risk, and maintainability over manual testing execution.

• You have experience with AI-supported testing tools and recognize the importance of validating AI-generated outcomes.

• You appreciate clean code, maintainable test suites, and dependable automation.

• You can communicate effectively in English (C1 level); proficiency in German is a plus.
