Software Engineer – Platform Productivity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain the Internal Engineering Platform (IEP)

• Oversee and enhance CI/CD platforms

• Automate build, release, and deployment workflows

• Create application configuration management tools

• Streamline software update processes

• Manage artifacts effectively

• Collaborate with application development and security teams to fulfill their needs

• Engage in an on-call rotation to support Platform tools

• Set and contribute to the squad’s roadmap

• Maintain, enhance, expand, and gracefully retire platform systems

• Design, evaluate, and select suitable technical solutions

• Develop next-generation CI/CD systems, automation runner infrastructure, artifact management systems, security automation, and AI-driven tools

• Oversee the complete software lifecycle from design documentation and testing to deployment and decommissioning

• Address incidents and integrate existing systems

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in engineering/software development within a Platform group providing services to internal engineering teams

• Familiarity with working in a cloud environment

• Experience in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform/Crossplane

• Knowledge of Kubernetes administration

• Experience or enthusiasm for implementing, integrating, and maintaining observability systems and processes

• Ability to thrive in a remote-first work environment

• Experience in operating code

• Proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker

• Capability to work with Infrastructure as Code

• Willingness to use Go and other tools like shell scripts

• Availability to participate in an on-call rotation
