Software Engineer – Platform Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain the build infrastructure for a substantial Typescript and NodeJS codebase.

• Work alongside software developers and platform engineers to establish and refine Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices and standards.

• Detect and resolve bottlenecks, performance challenges, and automation possibilities within the development pipeline.

• Create and sustain scalable platform features, ensuring the reliability, availability, and scalability of software delivery processes.

• Assist engineers as platform-tool users by providing training and guidance to enhance their work experience.

• Evolve existing systems while designing and implementing advanced automation tools and optimized workflows.

• Empower developers to build, test, and deploy software quickly and reliably.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in backend development, integrations, or CI/CD pipelines within a high-performing engineering team.

• Proven experience in building reusable components and libraries, with a solid understanding of scalable architecture.

• Strong communication skills, particularly in documenting solutions and providing clear technical direction.

• A deep sense of ownership over critical problem areas.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Linux, Docker, and CI tools such as Github Actions or similar.

• Experience in designing, implementing, and documenting API services.

• Familiarity with the NodeJS and Typescript ecosystems, as well as automated build and testing tools, is advantageous.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Python, Golang, Terraform, and Azure Cloud is a plus.

• Experience in managing stateful Kubernetes workloads, including operation, scaling, troubleshooting, and enhancing the reliability of production-grade services.

• Proficient in designing and programming custom operators to automate platform workflows, extend infrastructure capabilities, and improve reliability across development and delivery systems.

• Experience in designing and constructing AI-powered platform features that boost developer productivity, automate engineering workflows, or enhance CI/CD, observability, testing, and release processes.

• A proactive, ownership-driven approach to troubleshooting and supporting essential technical areas.

• Experience in making data-informed decisions.
